Iron Man was established in 1987 by our beloved founder Yusuf Shaik. A Durban born ex boilermaker who had a dream to provide his city with quality work at an affordable price. Like all great stories it started in a workshop no bigger than a garage with a few tools and very little staff.

Today Iron Man is run and headed up by his son Wasim Shaik who apprenticed under his father for 10 years.

“Taking the reigns I hope to continue giving the city of Durban and eventually South Africa the same quality service including the old school business principles instilled in us by our predecessors, where a firm handshake and a man’s words were enough to confirm his reliability and trust. I still believe in these principles as well as understanding that we are in an age of immense technological advancements and we at Iron Man Customs embrace this development and look forward to helping you grow our great country”.
